Video game streaming has become popular with websites such as Twitch, Youtube and more recently, DLive. These players often combine entertaining commentary and viewer engagement and high-intensity playing all in real-time. This marriage of skills works to provide viewers and fans with an experience only mirrored by live sports broadcasters and the games they commentate. Personal Wager is no exception.
A first of its kind, Personal Wager aims to create a globally accessible esports player to player (P2P) wagering system, allowing players in any country to wager on their own skill with players at home or in any other country. In the near future, with an expansion into an AI to AI (A2A) system through the acquisition key gaming assets, Personal Wager expects to be the de-facto standard for human vs human, AI vs AI, and human vs AI wagering.

This week, we introduce you to Slasticc!
20 year old Slasticc is a Twitch streamer, who has hopes and dreams are to make streaming a career. He is dedicated — he streams 7 days a week and at times 6–8 hours a day without missing a beat. He consistently invites viewers to team up with him and achieve a ‘100 Bomb’ which is what he is known for in his community (100 bomb = 100 kills in COD). Keep an eye on this one: He’s going places!
How did you get into streaming and what motivates you to keep streaming?
I’ve always been passionate about video games since I was very young. As the years went on and Twitch was released It immediately sparked an interest in me. I was very shy and hesitant to broadcast any game play but I finally broke out of my shell and pursued streaming and haven’t looked back. Only regret is that I wish I started earlier. What motivates me to stream is talking to people in my chat and people sharing their stories with me, also the hype that I receive when I do something crazy it gets my fired up!
What’s your favorite genre to play? Favorite game?
My favorite type of game genre has to be first person shooters. I’ve always played them since the first game I’ve ever touched which was the original Halo. My favorite game has to be Call of Duty. I’m a die hard halo fan but I’ve migrated to the Call of Duty scene over the years.
The most epic streak that you remember?
My most epic streak was going 123 kills with 9 deaths and a nuke to end the game on Call of Duty Modern Warfare, On a map called shoot house.
What’s the origin of your Gamer Tag?
I got my username as a broken down word and twisted around a bit of elastic. The reasoning is because I always seem to find a way to survive out of bad situations in a game that I’m playing where I should have died.
What’s your opinion on esports?
Esports in my opinion is incredible it allows players to showcase their talent and for people to see what hours of practice on a game can get you.
What’s your favorite thing about Personal Wager?
Personal wager makes everything so easy and convenient. There’s no hassle to sign up, and setting up matches are super easy and quick. The platform is very user friendly so everyone can enjoy. Battling other players to find out who is more dominant has never been so easy!
What’s your feeling about how the personal wager will help the community and why it’s important?
Personal wager strives for excellence. They have created something that is fun for everyone to use. Within just a few clicks gives you the potential to win big and show everyone how talented you are.
What piece of advice would you give to someone thinking about getting into streaming?
For anyone that is thinking about streaming or wants to get into it. Do it because your passionate about it, not for what it can bring to you. It is very hard and takes a lot of work so don’t expect anything right out of the gate. As long as your having fun and enjoying what your doing everything will fall in place with time and dedication to your dream.
And finally..the most important question everyone wants to know…What’s your K/D?
My K/D on all Call of Duty has been an average of 4.6–4.8 K/D’s but the new Call of Duty Modern Warfare I only have a 2.6 K/D. The game was very Different from other Call of Duty’s I’ve played in the franchise so it’s something I’m trying to bring up overtime to continue my average.
